About Us

Fluffy Duster was created and incorporated by Lewis Bankes-Hughes in 2006.

Lewis was 14 when his passion in design turned to a serious business interest, an interest which was noticed by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) when Lewis joined the organisation in 2007 as their youngest ever member. In the same year, Lewis spoke at the FSB annual conference in Belfast, on the same stage asa host of inspiring people, including BBC Dragon Simon Woodroffe, entrepreneur Jamie Murray Wells, founder of Glasses Direct, and political figures such as Margaret Hodge and George Osborne.

Since then, Fluffy Duster has continued to grow, and has attracted much media interest including interviews on BBC News 24 and ITV as well as appearing in the Observer's 'People to watch this year' feature in 2008. Lewis has also been featured in The Daily Telegraph and numerous national and local newspapers and magazines.

In 2010, Lewis was invited to attend 10 Downing Street to meet several high profile business leaders including Lord Mandelson and Lord Sugar, star of The Apprentice on the BBC.

Now, at the age of 18, Lewis now attends the University of Liverpool where he is reading Town and Regional Planning, whilst pursuing several other entrepreneurial ideas and continuing to grow Fluffy Duster.
